Genesis 12: 1-7
Our Worship

Do you know God- or do you know religion? Do you find yourself going through the motions of religious traditions, and not inviting God into your life in the process? Pastor Will's message urges us to let the Word fill our hearts and guide our actions so that in the midst of intense moments, it’s the Word that comes out and not that of the flesh. As we continue walking through the story of Abram- and his journey to Canaan- we are provided with some powerful reminders this week:

  • When you don’t know what to do, do the last thing God directed you.
  • Be careful who we are taking with us on our journey- not everyone is meant to tag along.
  • If God is leading you to a place, He will be with you and speak to you; create space to invite him in.
  • We aren’t capable of knowing all that God has in store for us at once; be patient, focused on Him, and trust in His timing.
  • Your current situation may not be for you- but for your descendants and generations to come. God may be using you to clear the way.

Like Abram built an alter and honored the Lord, we are reminded to worship God in faithful obedience in all we do. While we continue along this journey of going All In, don’t forget to insert moments where we just worship God!
