This week, Pastor Will wraps up the sermon series on Spiritual Battles, preaching on Part VI of The Work of the Flesh v. The Fruit of the Spirit. As Christians, God is trying to produce something in and through us, by His Spirit, that will align with His way. That is the fruit of the Spirit- Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfullness, Gentleness, and Self Control. However, it cannot be produced by our works. Works are toiling when we attempt to do things by ourselves, without God. Spiritual fruit is in partnership with God and is evidence that the Holdy Spirit is at work in us
We must ask ourselves, "Am I growing?" and then reflect "How's my fruit?" All nine of them! The Holy Spirit will not pick and choose which fruits to develop. Weak fruit? You need to grow closer to Him, as God wants our heart.
